Description

Young Artists 2026 presents the work of 26 emerging artists and offers a compelling overview of what a new generation of contemporary art looks like in Finland today. Organised since 1939, the Young Artists exhibition has long served as one of the country's most significant platforms for artists under the age of 35, introducing new voices and memorable works to the Finnish art scene.

The exhibition reflects many of the questions and concerns shaping contemporary life. Across the works, visitors encounter themes of slowing down, ecological awareness, social structures, and the feeling of navigating a world filled with uncertainty and rapid change. Alongside these themes is a strong engagement with materials, experimentation, and artistic process.

Selected through a nationwide open call, the exhibition brings together artists working across a variety of media and disciplines, creating a diverse and dynamic portrait of contemporary artistic practice.

Following along

The best way to experience the exhibition is to move freely through the galleries and spend time with the works that capture your attention. The exhibition offers opportunities for both quiet contemplation and engagement with some of the most current ideas in contemporary art.
