Hey, you can catch a ferry to Suomenlinna from over there. It's a super cool place with caves and cannons. If you go there, you should definitely bring a flashlight.

This passenger pavilion was built just before the Helsinki Olympics. It was designed by the same gentleman who designed the Olympic Terminal, architects Arne Hytönen and Risto-Veikko-Luukkonen.

The wooden building's facades are made of vertical panels which beautifully accentuate the building's rounded corners. Large windows opening in three directions also emphasize those simple facades and frame the beautiful views from inside out. The sharply rising roof edge gives the building a dynamic look.

This passenger pavilion was recently renovated with respect for the old, preserving as many original features as possible.

It's really nice to go to Suomenlinna even for a picnic. The ferry ride costs only the price of a bus ticket. Just grab some strawberries from the Market Square.

By the way, Keisarinluoto got its name because the Russian emperor's ship ran aground on a small islet that was located there.
