Kalluntupa Local Heritage Museum
Kalluntupa Local Heritage Museum and its surrounding buildings, interiors, and artifacts tell the story of life in a modest farming family in Laukaa during the early 1900s.
The museum’s main residential building dates back to the 18th century and includes two traditional rooms: the living room and the dining room. The living room demonstrates traditional handicrafts and household tasks carried out by men and women, while the dining room focuses on cooking, baking, and mealtime traditions.
Next to the museum stands a two-story grain storage building. Its permanent exhibition presents the history of Laukaa from prehistoric times up to the 20th century. Originally built in the 1850s as a communal grain store, the building’s silos now house exhibitions covering topics such as the history of the granary itself, local schooling, woodworking traditions, and trade in the Laukaa region.
