Savottamarkkinat 4–5 July 2026

The traditional Savotta Market kicks off July with a lively weekend in the centre of Konnevesi, attracting thousands of visitors each year. This two-day event offers an authentic Finnish market atmosphere filled with local products, entertainment and community spirit.

One of the highlights is the chainsaw carving competition, where skilled artists transform logs into impressive works of art before the audience’s eyes. Visitors can also enjoy market stalls, food vendors, demonstrations and activities for the whole family.

KonnTeksti Story Festival 9–11 July 2026

KonnTeksti is a unique cultural festival where literature, music and storytelling come together. At the heart of the festival are words – written, spoken and sung – and their power to connect people.

The three-day programme brings acclaimed authors, musicians and thinkers to Konnevesi. Featured guests include writer Jenni Räinä, journalist and author Matti Rönkä, and Finlandia Prize-winning novelist Olli Jalonen. Musical performances range from Iiro Rantala’s compositions and a silent film concert to intimate evening performances.

Konnevesi Women’s Week 18–20 July 2026

Konnevesi Women’s Week is one of the most distinctive cultural events in Central Finland. Over three days, the village fills with music, poetry, philosophy, art, discussions and memorable encounters.

The programme features performances by Eija Ahvo, Maija Ruuskanen and Anna-Riikka Carlson, as well as the acclaimed production Johanneksen matkassa by Tommi Korpela and Pami Karvonen. Visitors can also enjoy literary discussions, historical themes and contemporary topics. A magical evening cruise aboard M/S Linnea and special dining events at Väentalo complete the experience.

Häyrylänranta Live Summer 2026

Located at the heart of Konnevesi Harbour, Häyrylänranta hosts live music, events and unforgettable summer evenings throughout the season. The guest marina, restaurant services and beautiful lakeside scenery make it one of the area’s most popular meeting places.

The season begins during Midsummer week with Vehkala Tuplana, followed by performances from artists including Tania, Pekka Tiilikainen & Beatmakers and dance music favourite Oliver.

One of the most anticipated evenings of the summer takes place on 2 July with the Ysäri Allstars concert featuring Nina Tapio, Sani and Drome. Expect a nostalgic celebration packed with Finnish 1990s hits and an energetic festival atmosphere.

Families will enjoy a performance by the children’s music group Loiskis, while the season concludes with the atmospheric Venetian Night celebrations at the end of August.

Konnevesi Rally Park & Sydänmaa Special Stage 31 July 2026

The grand finale of the summer arrives on the last day of July when Secto Rally Finland returns to Konnevesi. The Sydänmaa Special Stage offers rally fans the chance to witness world-class driving on the fast gravel roads of Central Finland.

At the same time, Konnevesi Rally Park brings the excitement of the World Rally Championship right into the village centre. Visitors can follow the rally action, explore competition vehicles, meet motorsport enthusiasts and enjoy a full day of entertainment suitable for all ages.

A unique feature of the event is the WRC refuelling zone and the Vetomies service park, providing a rare behind-the-scenes look at one of the world’s most prestigious rally events.
