Kadriorg Palace

Tsar Peter I had a palace built in the early 18th century as a temporary summer residence, designed by the Italian architect Niccolo Michetti. Today, the palace houses the Art Museum of Estonia's collection of foreign art. In addition to paintings, graphic works, statues, and handicrafts, visitors can enjoy concerts, theater performances, and lectures in the palace. The upper flower garden, which is open to visitors in the summer, has been restored to its 18th-century appearance.
