Korkeasaari Zoo is home to around 1,500 animals representing species from the tundra to the tropics. Visitors can see northern species such as the Finnish forest reindeer—part of a reintroduction program—as well as Amur tigers, snow leopards, wolverines, and Bactrian camels. In the tropical houses, you can enjoy warm conditions and observe species like the pygmy marmoset, the world’s smallest monkey, and the critically endangered turquoise dwarf gecko. The zoo is run by a non-profit foundation dedicated to protecting wildlife and biodiversity. www.korkeasaari.fi
