9. Brown Velvet Chalice Veil

A brown velvet chalice veil, likely dating from the 19th century. Applied to the center of the veil is a large Greek cross made with gold-colored metal thread braid; the ends of both the vertical and horizontal arms are pointed.

The corners of the veil are adorned with tassels made of gold-colored metal threads. The lining of the chalice veil is pink.
