Remembering the artist professor Tarmo Manni – in the form of a crying stone

The late artist professor and actor Tarmo Manni was born in Saarijärvi and he has a statue by a rapid, next to the Hernesalmi mill in Lannevesi. One of the elements of the monument is flowing water which can be seen during the summer season.

Next to the statue is the Hernesalmi Mill, painted in traditional red ochre.

The memorial was made by academician, sculptor Kain Tapper and the original name of the statue is Itkevä kivi (Crying stone, year 2000).
