Silmäsuo is a unique nature reserve, a swampy bog formed in an esker depression.

The Silmäsuo hiking trail is easy to walk and suitable for all ages. At the lean-to shelter by Ahvenlampi you will find a pleasant resting spot. In the area you can spot the rare moor frog as well as typical bog vegetation such as bog rosemary, marsh cinquefoil, Labrador tea, cottongrass, bogbean, large cranberry, and more.
